Baku City Hall is an early-twentieth-century civic building with a prominent clock tower. It is now associated with the city's executive administration.

Its position beside the Old City makes it a useful landmark on a walk along Istiglaliyyat Street. Observe the building from public pavements and avoid assuming administrative spaces are open to visitors.

The clock tower makes Baku City Hall a useful landmark near the Old City. This early twentieth-century civic building stands close to the routes linking the metro, the historic walls and Istiglaliyyat Street. It connects the architecture of that period with the city's present administration.

The clock tower is the easiest feature to recognise, but take in the rest of the facade as well. Its position helps explain how the old and newer parts of central Baku meet. The building is associated with the city's executive administration, so enjoy the view from public pavements. Administrative rooms should not be treated as sightseeing spaces that are automatically open.
