Highland Park opens up the view above Baku's southern central waterfront. Its terraces and paths look over the Caspian and along the curve of the bay. From here, the relationship between the sea, the city streets and the hillside becomes easier to understand.

The park is close to the Flame Towers and Martyrs' Lane. Those places have very different moods, so give each its own space in your visit. Reaching the terraces may involve steps or uphill walking; choose an approach that is comfortable for you. Enjoy the public viewpoints, and keep the atmosphere quiet and respectful as you approach the nearby memorial areas.
