The Baku Funicular climbs from the area near the Carpet Museum towards Highland Park. It is both a local transport link and a recognisable feature of the city's hillside.

Service hours, breaks and fares can change. Check the station notice on the day and keep an alternative route in mind if you plan to return after sunset.

Baku's funicular connects the area near the Carpet Museum with the hill towards Highland Park. It is a transport link, but also part of the character of this steep stretch of the city. The track makes the change in height especially easy to see.

If the service is running, the view changes as the carriage climbs. Even from the station area, the line of the track helps explain the shape of the hillside. Operating hours, breaks and fares can change, so check the notice on the day. If you are planning an evening visit to the park, keep another way back in mind as well.
