The three Flame Towers were completed in 2012 and are among the tallest buildings in Baku. Their shape recalls flames – a reference to Azerbaijan, the "land of fire".

In the evening their facades are covered with moving LED images of flames, which can be seen from almost everywhere in the city.

Three flame-shaped towers rise above the western side of Baku Bay. The Flame Towers have become one of the city's most familiar modern images, linking a contemporary skyline with the idea of Azerbaijan as a land of fire.

Their outline changes with the viewpoint. From Highland Park, they feel close to the hillside; from the Boulevard, they become part of the wider city panorama. After dark, the illuminated facades add another layer to that view. The buildings have different private uses, so an exterior view is the simplest way to include them in your visit. You do not need to stand at their base to appreciate their shape.
